RMS Dholpur Cadets Excel at HIMTREK 2026: Leadership, Trekking, and Nation-Building Achievements

Dholpur, June 2026: Four female cadets from Rashtriya Military School (RMS), Dholpur, showcased exceptional talent at HIMTREK 2026, a national integration and trekking camp for girls held in Himachal Pradesh from June 5 to 12, 2026.

The camp, hosted at Solan and Waknaghat by the 1 HP Girls Battalion NCC, aimed to foster leadership, endurance, national unity, and character development among the participants.

RMS Dholpur's participation underscored the institution's dedication to providing a well-rounded education and cultivating future leaders who are disciplined and courageous.

Challenging Himalayan Treks Test Cadets’ Endurance

During the camp, cadets embarked on rigorous treks across several Himalayan routes, including Dumher, Mata Tara Devi, Wakna, Bahra, and Karol Tibba.

These treks demanded physical endurance, resilience, and teamwork from the participants, who had to navigate difficult terrain and adapt to changing weather conditions while supporting each other.

The trekking component was designed not only as a physical challenge but also as a means to build confidence, leadership skills, and poise under pressure.

Sessions on Defence Careers, Self-Defence and Social Awareness

In addition to adventure activities, HIMTREK 2026 offered educational sessions to expand the cadets’ intellectual and social perspectives.

Participants attended expert-led discussions on career opportunities in defence services, self-defence techniques, and the importance of organ donation. They also engaged in brainstorming exercises, quizzes, cultural competitions, and group activities.

These sessions encouraged creative thinking, effective communication, and the building of interpersonal connections among cadets from various regions, thus promoting national integration.
