Maj Gen Navtej Singh Sohal Takes Charge of HQ Uttar Maharashtra & Gujarat Sub Area
On December 15, 2025, Major General Navtej Singh Sohal took over the leadership of the Headquarters Uttar Maharashtra & Gujarat Sub Area, signifying an important change in command for the region.
Maj Gen Sohal, who was commissioned into the Regiment of Artillery, brings with him more than 30 years of commendable service in the Indian Army. His extensive career includes various roles in command, teaching, and staff duties, showcasing his vast operational knowledge and professional skill.
Upon taking charge, the General Officer engaged with officers and personnel across all ranks, acknowledging their hard work and dedication. He urged them to uphold high levels of operational readiness and stay alert in light of new and evolving security threats.
His appointment is anticipated to enhance the operational efficiency, administrative effectiveness, and security readiness within the Uttar Maharashtra and Gujarat Sub Area.
