Maj Gen K Mahesh Appointed as Colonel of 3rd Gorkha Rifles
In a dignified ceremony at the 39 Gorkha Training Centre, Major General C.S. Dewgun concluded his tenure as the Colonel of the 3rd Gorkha Rifles, marking the end of a distinguished 35-year career with the Indian Army.
The position of leadership was transferred to Major General K. Mahesh, the General Officer Commanding of the 8 Mountain Division, who now steps into the role of the regiment's new Colonel.
The event saw the attendance of officers, veterans, Agniveers, and members of the regimental community, who expressed their gratitude to Maj Gen Dewgun for his perceptive and compassionate leadership.
