Lucknow's 3 UP Naval Unit NCC Commemorates Navy Day 2025 with Patriotic Tribute and Cultural Display

The 3 UP Naval Unit NCC in Lucknow commemorated Navy Day 2025 with a vibrant and patriotic event at the picturesque Boat Pool, honoring the bravery, professionalism, and maritime heritage of the Indian Navy. The celebration paid homage to the Navy's significant victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak War, particularly highlighting the historic Operation Trident, which marked India’s inaugural missile strike at sea.

The event saw the presence of esteemed guests, including Commander Sumit Ghosh (Retd.), a decorated Submarine Officer and veteran of Operation Vijay and Operation Parakram, serving as the Chief Guest. Also in attendance as Guests of Honour were Brigadier Puneet Srivastava, Group Commander, NCC Group HQs Lucknow, and Commander Gaurav Shukla, Commanding Officer of 3 UP Naval Unit NCC.

A vibrant cultural program displayed the enthusiasm and discipline of the NCC cadets. The event featured stirring speeches, recitations of patriotic poetry, heartfelt singing performances, and lively solo and group dances. Each of these performances embodied the cadets’ respect for the Indian Navy and their commitment to the values of courage, dedication, and service.

As the event drew to a close, cadets expressed their pride and enthusiasm with loud cheers, affirming their commitment to uphold the ideals of the nation and the Indian Navy.
