Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, who serves as the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Central Command, recently paid a visit to the newly established Community Radio Station, Radio IBEX Tarana 88.4 FM, located in Harsil. He praised the Indian Army's endeavor to improve access to information and foster connections with local communities in the isolated Himalayan areas.

During his interaction with the radio station team, the Army Commander expressed his admiration for their commitment to managing the platform and effectively engaging with listeners throughout the valley. He pointed out that these grassroots communication efforts play a crucial role in enhancing community awareness, encouraging local participation, and ensuring the prompt distribution of vital information.

In addition to his visit to the radio station, Lt Gen Sengupta evaluated the ongoing development initiatives under the Vibrant Villages Programme. He stressed the Indian Army's ongoing dedication to aiding remote border communities by enhancing communication networks, launching outreach initiatives, and providing continuous support.

The visit highlighted the Army's extensive efforts to build trust, promote development, and ensure inclusivity in high-altitude regions, thereby guaranteeing that information and essential services reach even the most distant communities.
