Lt Gen Sandeep Narang Takes Over as Commandant of Military College of Materials Management in Jabalpur
Lieutenant General Sandeep Narang, SM, has assumed charge as the Commandant of the Military College of Materials Management (MCMM), Jabalpur, taking over from Lieutenant General Sanjay Sethi, AVSM, VSM, who has superannuated from the Indian Army.
Lieutenant General Sukriti Singh Dahiya, SM, VSM, the Officiating General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Army Training Command (ARTRAC), congratulated Lt Gen Narang on the new appointment and conveyed best wishes for his tenure. The transition comes after the retirement of Lt Gen Sethi on August 31, 2026.
Lt Gen Sethi concluded a military career spanning nearly four decades, during which he held several important appointments before serving as Commandant of the Military College of Materials Management. His retirement marks the end of a long period of service in the Indian Army.
The Military College of Materials Management, located in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, is one of the Indian Army’s premier training institutions. It is responsible for professional military education in logistics, materials management and other specialised disciplines that support the Army’s operational and administrative requirements.
As Commandant, Lt Gen Narang will oversee the institution’s work in preparing officers and personnel for the Army’s increasingly complex logistics and materials-management needs. The appointment places him at the helm of a key training establishment that contributes to the Army’s sustainment and support framework.
