Lt Gen Rajiv K Sahni Reviews Technological Advancements at Konark Corps Technology Centre

Lieutenant General Rajiv K. Sahni, who serves as the Director General of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME) and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of EME, made a visit to the Konark Corps Technology Centre. His visit focused on evaluating the unit's initiatives aimed at driving technology and fostering an ecosystem for innovation.

During this visit, the General Officer praised the Konark Eagles for their efforts in creating an internal ecosystem dedicated to the mass production and maintenance of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS). He emphasized that this initiative significantly contributes to the Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision concerning defence technology.

Lt Gen Sahni further expressed his approval of the newly established Metallic Additive Manufacturing Facility, which is intended to tackle engineering support challenges by employing cutting-edge manufacturing technologies and enabling rapid production.

This visit highlighted the ongoing focus of the Indian Army on technological innovation, the development of indigenous capabilities, and the integration of advanced technologies to enhance operational readiness and prepare for future challenges.
