Lt Gen R. S. Sundaram Evaluates Army Recruitment Initiatives During Danapur Visit
Lieutenant General R. S. Sundaram, SM, VSM, who serves as the Director General of Recruiting, recently visited Danapur for an evaluation of recruitment-related activities and to gauge the readiness of facilities essential to the Indian Army's recruitment operations.
During his visit, Lt Gen Sundaram engaged in discussions with Major General Ravinder Singh, the Additional Director General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Bihar and Jharkhand Directorate. The conversation centered on youth engagement, increasing recruitment awareness, and the crucial role played by the NCC in motivating young individuals to pursue a career in the Armed Forces.
The Lieutenant General also paid a visit to the Online Common Entrance Examination (CEE) Centre, where he evaluated the arrangements and preparedness for conducting recruitment exams. He scrutinized the implemented measures ensuring the recruitment process remains transparent, efficient, and smooth for candidates participating in the Army recruitment exams.
In his assessment, the Director General of Recruiting examined various facets of the examination system, such as infrastructure, candidate facilitation, and administrative processes designed to uphold fairness and integrity throughout the selection stages.
Furthermore, Lt Gen Sundaram met with Brigadier R. K. Bora, the Commandant of the Bihar Regimental Centre, and engaged with Agniveers currently undergoing training. This interaction provided direct insights into the recruitment process from the perspective of newly inducted soldiers.
During these discussions, the General Officer explored the aspirations, motivations, and challenges faced by young recruits, thereby gaining a deeper understanding of their expectations from the military service and the recruitment process.
This engagement also served as a forum to assess the efficiency of current recruitment initiatives and to pinpoint areas where the Army's recruitment framework could be enhanced to better serve aspiring candidates nationwide.
The visit highlighted the Indian Army's ongoing dedication to maintaining a transparent, technology-driven, and candidate-friendly recruitment system while ensuring that the finest talent from across the country is integrated into its ranks.
