The visit was aimed at assessing operational readiness, the internal security landscape, and the progress of ongoing infrastructure development within the formation.

As part of his visit, Lt Gen Tiwari initiated the construction of the Lachit Borphukan Military Station at Bamunigaon in Assam's Dhubri district. This initiative is designed to improve the Army's operational efficiency and logistical support in the strategically vital eastern region.

During his tour, the Army Commander received briefings on the various measures in place for operational readiness, border management strategies, and infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing troop mobility and mission sustainability along India's eastern frontiers. He also took the opportunity to meet with troops stationed in forward positions, praising their professionalism, vigilance, and dedication to protecting the nation's borders in difficult terrain and weather conditions.

Lt Gen Tiwari expressed his appreciation to the Government of Assam and the Civil Administration for their active support in the establishment of the new military station. Furthermore, the General Officer praised all ranks of the Gajraj Corps for their ongoing dedication, resilience, and efforts toward the swift operationalization of the new base.
