During SOF Week 2026, held from May 18 to 21 in Tampa, Florida, Lieutenant General Pushpendra Pal Singh, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Command and the highest-ranking Special Forces officer in the Indian Armed Forces, met with senior officials from the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and the United States Southern Command (SOUTHCOM).

The Indian team also connected with leaders from various US Theatre Special Operations Commands, such as SOCCENT, SOCPAC, and SOCAFRICA. These interactions focused on enhancing operational collaboration, strategic engagement, and the development of advanced special operations capabilities.

The discussions underscored the strengthening strategic alignment and defense cooperation between India and the United States, following the India-US Strategic Defence Partnership Framework established in October 2025.

These engagements highlighted a growing focus on joint operations, interoperability, information sharing, and collaboration addressing special operations and emerging security challenges.
SOF Week 2026 gathered military leaders, defense professionals, and special operations experts globally to discuss innovations, strategic security, and future combat capabilities.
