Lt Gen PS Shekhawat Reviews Training and Opens Atal Tinkering Lab at Mechanised Infantry Centre

Lieutenant General PS Shekhawat, who serves as the Chief of Staff for the Sapta Shakti Command and holds the position of Colonel of the Regiment for the Mechanised Infantry, recently made a visit to the Mechanised Infantry Centre and School located in Ahilyanagar.

During his time at the center, Lt Gen Shekhawat conducted an in-depth review of the training standards and infrastructure in place. He also took the opportunity to engage with both officers and soldiers, encouraging the troops, known as the 'Vanguards,' to aim for professional excellence and integrate emerging technologies into their practices.

In a Special Sainik Sammelan organized during his visit, Lt Gen Shekhawat presented the Colonel of the Regiment (COR) Banner and awarded various personnel for their commendable performance. He praised the troops for their high morale and dedication to the regimental motto, “Valour & Faith.”

The visit was also marked by the inauguration of significant new facilities, including a cutting-edge Atal Tinkering Lab at APS MIC&S, and a Veteran Seva Kendra designed to provide support to ex-servicemen.

This visit highlights the Indian Army’s continued commitment to advancing modern training methodologies, fostering innovation, ensuring the welfare of veterans, and building a technologically advanced and future-ready force.
