Lt Gen Pratik Sharma Evaluates Readiness of Anti-Infiltration Efforts in North Kashmir

Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Northern Command, conducted a visit to North Kashmir to evaluate the anti-infiltration grid and review the operational readiness of units stationed along the Line of Control (LoC).

During his inspection, the Army Commander engaged with both officers and soldiers, acknowledging their steadfast professionalism and the enhanced surveillance and precision strike capabilities that contribute to a strong defensive stance in the area.

Lt Gen Sharma lauded the troops for their high level of alertness and their commitment to securing the nation’s borders amidst shifting security challenges.

He stressed the significance of utilizing emerging technologies to gain real-time intelligence and surveillance, which are crucial for strengthening India's counter-infiltration strategies along the LoC.

This visit highlighted the Army’s ongoing commitment to maintaining operational superiority and readiness in response to increasing cross-border threats and infiltration attempts in the strategically sensitive region of North Kashmir.
