Lt Gen Pratik Sharma Assesses Troop Readiness in Siachen and Batalik Sectors
Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, the Army Commander of Northern Command, conducted an in-depth assessment of the operational readiness of troops stationed in the Siachen and Batalik sectors. These areas are among the most demanding and strategically vital frontiers overseen by the Indian Army.
The Siachen and Batalik sectors are notorious for their severe weather conditions, challenging terrain, and persistent sub-zero temperatures, ranking them among the world's toughest military postings. Despite these harsh conditions, dedicated soldiers maintain constant vigilance along these critical northern borders.

During his visit, Lt Gen Sharma engaged with the troops in forward positions, praising their outstanding professionalism and high morale. He commended their steadfast dedication to maintaining peak operational readiness, even under the most severe climatic and environmental conditions.
