Naval Chief Discusses Strategic Collaboration with Petroleum Minister
The Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, met with Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, in New Delhi to explore ways to enhance the longstanding collaboration between the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and the Indian Navy.
During the meeting, the Union Minister welcomed Admiral Swaminathan and reminisced about his previous role as Joint Secretary (Navy) in the Ministry of Defence from 1994 to 1997, a period during which he worked closely with the Indian Navy on various significant matters.
The discussions between the two leaders focused on strengthening cooperation between the Ministry and Naval Headquarters, emphasizing the need to deepen institutional collaboration in areas of shared interest.
This engagement highlights the ongoing coordination between the Indian Navy and key government ministries, aimed at advancing the nation's maritime interests, energy security, and strategic partnerships.
