Lt Gen Pratik Sharma Assesses Security and Enhances Joint Counter-Terror Strategy in Rampur Sector

Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Northern Command, recently conducted an inspection of the Rampur Sector in Jammu to assess the current security situation and the counter-terrorism framework in place.

During his visit, the Army Commander engaged in extensive discussions with officials from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Central Reserve Police Force, and other security organizations. These discussions were centered on enhancing coordination and improving operational efficiency among the agencies.

Lt Gen Sharma stressed the necessity for concentrated joint efforts and increased synergy among agencies, along with aligning operations, to achieve a terror-free Jammu and Kashmir.

He pointed out that effective coordination among the diverse security forces is vital for operations that are driven by intelligence and for quick responses to new threats in the area.

This visit highlights the Indian Army’s ongoing commitment to bolstering the counter-terrorism grid and fostering cooperation among various agencies to ensure peace and stability in Jammu and Kashmir.
