Lt Gen Pratik Sharma Assesses Readiness and Strengthened Defences in Key Border Areas
Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, the Northern Command Army Commander, conducted an inspection of the Nowshera and Bimber Gali sectors along the Line of Control to evaluate the operational readiness and preparedness on the ground.
During his visit, Lt Gen Sharma engaged with troops stationed in these forward areas. He praised their morale, professionalism, and ongoing operational effectiveness despite the challenging terrain and security conditions. He acknowledged their dedication to protecting the nation's borders and their continuous vigilance.

The Army Commander received briefings from field commanders about the latest upgrades in surveillance, which include enhanced sensors, advanced observation systems, and integrated monitoring networks. The officials also discussed improvements in precision engagement capabilities aimed at ensuring swift and effective responses to any hostile activities.
Additionally, the briefing outlined various future-ready operational strategies that have been implemented to maintain a strong defensive stance. These measures include reinforced counter-infiltration mechanisms, enhanced logistics in vulnerable zones, and technology-based battlefield awareness tools.

Lt Gen Sharma commended the coordinated efforts of the units in the region and emphasized the Northern Command’s dedication to operational excellence, innovation, and preparedness to address emerging security threats along the LoC.
