Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, the Army Commander of Northern Command, conducted a visit to Kishtwar to evaluate the counter-terrorism infrastructure and review the multi-agency security strategy in the area.

During his visit, Lt Gen Sharma engaged in detailed discussions with high-ranking officials from the Jammu & Kashmir Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Intelligence Bureau (IB), and Army units stationed locally. The dialogue centered on the changing security dynamics, the need for operational coordination, and the enhancement of intelligence-driven counter-terrorist strategies.

Highlighting the complexities of the current security landscape, the Army Commander emphasized that addressing emerging threats necessitates unified command structures, efficient intelligence exchange, and coordinated agency responses. He highlighted the importance of integrated planning and the real-time exchange of vital information to ensure Jammu & Kashmir remains free of terrorism.
