Lt Gen Navin Sachdeva Assesses Engineering Support at 510 Army Base Workshop
Lt Gen Navin Sachdeva, who serves as the Chief of Staff at Headquarters Surya Command, recently visited the 510 Army Base Workshop to evaluate its significant contribution to providing base-level engineering support to the Indian Army. During his visit, he received a comprehensive briefing on the workshop's extensive maintenance operations and its role in supporting key military platforms.
The senior military officer praised the team for their outstanding work in the depot-level maintenance of strategic assets across all three branches of the military. He emphasized the workshop's increased focus on indigenisation efforts, which are in line with the national initiative Atmanirbhar Bharat, aiming to lessen reliance on foreign equipment.
Lt Gen Sachdeva also expressed appreciation for the workshop's dedication to quality, innovation, and technological progression. He engaged with the personnel, encouraging them to continue enhancing engineering capabilities to address the evolving demands of modern warfare and logistical support.
