Lt Gen Manoj Kumar Katiyar Evaluates Military Readiness in Key Northern Sectors: Jammu, Kathua, Samba, and Pathankot
Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar, who holds the PVSM, UYSM, and AVSM honors and serves as Army Commander, recently reviewed the operational readiness of forces stationed in the forward areas of Jammu, Kathua, Samba, and Pathankot. The purpose of his visit was to evaluate the current security situation and confirm that formations are prepared to react swiftly and accurately to any potential situations.

During his inspection, Lt Gen Katiyar engaged with local commanders and troops to assess border security, defensive readiness, and operational deployment in these critical areas. He received updates on recent improvements in surveillance, intelligence sharing, and anti-infiltration strategies along sensitive borders.

The Army Commander praised the forces for their professionalism, operational discipline, and successful integration of new technologies into their operations. He highlighted that the use of advanced surveillance, real-time communication, and AI-enhanced situational awareness tools has significantly bolstered field capabilities and response times.
