Lt Gen Manoj Kumar Katiyar Assesses Operational Readiness of Troops in Jammu's Forward Regions

Lt Gen Manoj Kumar Katiyar, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, the Western Army Commander, carried out a detailed assessment of the operational readiness of troops stationed in the Bani–MacCHEDI region and other strategic points within the Jammu sector.

Throughout the visit, the Army Commander received briefings on the security conditions, the deployment of troops, surveillance strategies, and the preparedness to address new threats along the sensitive border. The review emphasized the need for strong response capabilities and heightened mission readiness in response to shifting security challenges in the area.

In conversations with the officers and soldiers present, Lt Gen Katiyar praised their outstanding professionalism, morale, and steadfast dedication to their duties. He acknowledged the formations for their effective operational stance, achieved through continuous vigilance, rigorous training, and efficient coordination.

The Army Commander reiterated the Western Command's dedication to national security, urging all ranks to stay vigilant, embrace technological advancements, and focus on their missions to effectively manage any potential threats in the forward areas of the Jammu sector.
