Lt Gen Manjinder Singh Assesses DOT Division's Operational Readiness, Unveils New Counter-Drone Training Facility
Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, who leads the South Western Command, conducted a visit to the DOT Division to evaluate its readiness for operations and review efforts aimed at boosting combat efficiency and mission success.
During his time there, he received detailed briefings on the division’s state of operational readiness and the ongoing initiatives intended to sustain preparedness in light of emerging security threats.
The Army Commander also engaged with troops who presented a variety of indigenous innovations that have been developed to enhance battlefield effectiveness, streamline operations, and support mission objectives. He commended the formation's innovation-focused approach and encouraged further progress towards self-sufficiency and technological enhancement.
A significant aspect of the visit was the opening of a modern Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) Training Node. This facility is intended to improve the Indian Army’s capabilities in countering evolving drone threats and strengthening its counter-drone operations.
The new training center will offer specialized instruction in recognizing, tracking, and neutralizing hostile unmanned aerial vehicles, highlighting the Army’s commitment to developing modern capabilities that meet future battlefield demands.
