Lt Gen Madanraj Pande Reviews Fire & Fury Corps Preparedness Along LAC in Ladakh
Lieutenant General Madanraj Pande, General Officer Commanding of the Fire & Fury Corps, has visited forward-deployed troops along the Line of Actual Control in Ladakh to review their operational preparedness in one of the Indian Army’s most demanding theatres.
The visit focused on the readiness of personnel serving in the region’s high-altitude terrain, where harsh weather, difficult terrain and the demands of sustained deployment place exceptional pressure on troops. Lt Gen Pande assessed the measures being taken on the ground to maintain operational effectiveness and combat preparedness, and interacted with soldiers during the inspection.
During his interaction with the troops, the Army Commander commended both the soldiers and personnel of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police for their professionalism, commitment and steadfast resolve while operating in Ladakh’s extreme climatic conditions. His remarks reflected the close coordination required among forces deployed in the area, especially in forward locations along the LAC.
Lt Gen Pande also stressed the need for all ranks to remain ready for emerging operational challenges. He urged troops to continue making use of emerging technologies and to adopt innovative solutions that could further strengthen their effectiveness in the field.
The visit comes as the Fire & Fury Corps continues to place emphasis on combat readiness, technological adaptation and coordination among forces deployed along the LAC in Ladakh. The corps is responsible for operations in the strategically significant Ladakh sector, where troops remain stationed across some of the world’s most challenging high-altitude terrain.
