Lt Gen JS Sidana Evaluates Technological Advancements at Indian Army's Sapta Shakti Command

Lieutenant General JS Sidana, the Director General of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers, made a significant visit to the Indian Army’s Sapta Shakti Command in Jaipur today. This visit highlighted the increasing focus on technological advancements within India’s defense forces. Hosted by Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, the Army Commander of the South Western Command, the event aimed to enhance operational readiness through advanced technologies, emphasizing indigenous innovation and systems designed for future challenges.
With 38 years of service in the Indian Army, Lt Gen Sidana participated in in-depth briefings and practical evaluations of the latest technological projects intended for field application. Noteworthy among these were demonstrations of robotic platforms and AI-integrated systems geared towards improving battlefield effectiveness and minimizing human risk. These advancements indicate a strategic move towards greater automation, artificial intelligence, and cyber resilience, aligning with global defense trends.
