Lt Gen Harsh Chhibber Reviews Indian Army Digital Capability Initiatives in Eastern Command

Lt Gen Harsh Chhibber, Director General of Information Systems (DGIS), met Lt Gen VMB Krishnan, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Command, during a visit to the formation, with discussions focused on strengthening the Indian Army’s digital architecture and expanding the use of emerging technologies to improve operational effectiveness.

The interaction centred on the Army’s ongoing push to upgrade information systems and technology-enabled capabilities across the force. The discussions reflected the increasing importance of resilient digital infrastructure and modern information systems in supporting military operations, command processes and decision-making.

During his visit, Lt Gen Chhibber also interacted with officers of Eastern Command and briefed them on recent developments aimed at enhancing the Indian Army’s information and technology capabilities.
