Lt Gen Girish Kalia Assesses Security Measures Along Indo-Myanmar Border in Manipur
Lieutenant General Girish Kalia, the General Officer Commanding of Spear Corps, conducted a visit to an Assam Rifles unit stationed in Tupul, Manipur, as well as forward posts along the Indo-Myanmar Border in the Chandel district. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate operational readiness and assess the current security climate.
During his visit, Lt Gen Kalia received briefings on the operational landscape, border management strategies, and ongoing initiatives aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the area. He examined the readiness of troops positioned in these strategic border zones and reviewed the measures being implemented to counter emerging security threats.
The Corps Commander also inspected forward positions on the Indo-Myanmar Border, where he assessed surveillance systems, border management efforts, and the operational preparedness of the Assam Rifles.

During his interaction with the officers and troops, Lt Gen Kalia expressed his appreciation for their dedication, professionalism, and steadfast commitment to their duties. He praised the personnel for their consistent efforts in upholding security and stability in the region, despite challenging operational circumstances.
