Lt Gen DS Kushwah Reviews Operational Preparedness and Civil-Military Synergy in Nagpur, Kamptee, and Pulgaon Visit

Lt Gen DS Kushwah, AVSM, SM, who serves as the General Officer Commanding of the Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Goa (MG&G) Area, conducted a comprehensive review of operational, training, and logistics preparedness at Nagpur, Kamptee, and Pulgaon Military Stations from January 19 to 22, 2026.

During his visit, Lt Gen Kushwah led the Military–Civil Fusion Conclave, organized under the Uttar Maharashtra and Gujarat Sub Area. The event aimed to enhance the synergy between civil and military efforts, improve coordination with civil authorities, and develop joint strategies to boost operational efficiency and national resilience.

At the Central Ammunition Depot in Pulgaon, the Army Commander assessed security measures and logistics infrastructure. He emphasized the significance of maintaining robust storage facilities, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring efficient supply chains to uphold operational readiness.

While at Kamptee Military Station, Lt Gen Kushwah inspected the Guard Regimental Centre, the APS Wing of the Army Public School, and various units in the region. At the Guard Regimental Centre, he commended the innovative training initiatives for Agniveers, emphasizing the importance of modern training methods in developing disciplined and capable soldiers.

The visit also included discussions at the JSR Dynamics defence industry facility, highlighting the Army's increasing involvement with the domestic defence manufacturing sector to promote self-reliance and technological progress.

Throughout his tour, Lt Gen Kushwah underscored the necessity of excellence in training, strong inter-agency collaboration, and ongoing innovation, reaffirming the MG&G Area's dedication to upholding high standards of preparedness and professionalism across all military formations and establishments.
