Lt Gen DS Kushwah Assesses Nashik Military Training Centers, Launches Veteran Support Facilities

Lieutenant General DS Kushwah, PVSM, AVSM, SM, who serves as the General Officer Commanding for the Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Goa (MG & G) Area, conducted a visit to the Artillery Centre in Nashik. This visit also included inspections of various units in Nashik and Devlali, with a primary aim of evaluating training and infrastructure development efforts.

During his inspection, Lt Gen Kushwah assessed the current state of training, logistics, and administrative facilities, as well as infrastructure initiatives. His evaluation focused on determining the overall operational efficiency of these components.

The General underscored the importance of adopting innovative training methods in a time-constrained environment. He advocated for the implementation of:

Data-based monitoring systems
Enhanced use of AR/VR-enabled training aids
Development of modern, user-focused administrative infrastructure

During his visit, Lt Gen Kushwah also engaged in activities aimed at bolstering support for veterans and healthcare services. These activities included the dedication of a Veterans Sahayata Kendra, the inauguration of a combined pharmacy and waiting lounge for Ex-Servicemen at the ECHS Polyclinic, and the opening of a family ward at the Military Hospital in Devlali.

The initiatives are designed to improve the healthcare and support systems available to both active duty personnel and veterans, as well as their families.

This visit highlighted the MG & G Area’s dedication to advancing training methodologies, modernizing infrastructure, and implementing welfare initiatives. These efforts align with the Indian Army’s broader commitment to operational excellence and the well-being of its personnel.
