Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth Recognizes Veteran Achievements at Pangode Military Station
Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, and General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, paid a visit to Pangode Military Station. During his visit, he honored distinguished veterans with the Veteran Achievers Award, recognizing their remarkable contributions to nation-building in fields such as technology, healthcare, literature, arts, sports, and social service.

The Army Commander expressed profound admiration for the veterans' ongoing dedication to service beyond their military careers. He praised their significant influence in fortifying society and supporting the national objective of Viksit Bharat 2047. He emphasized the enduring inspiration they provide through their leadership, integrity, and unwavering commitment even after retiring from active duty.

During the visit, Lt Gen Seth engaged closely with the veterans, addressing various concerns related to welfare, pensions, healthcare, and employment. He also toured the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) Polyclinic in Thiruvananthapuram, where he evaluated healthcare services and acknowledged the exemplary best practices and innovations aimed at beneficiary welfare. He commended the medical personnel for their dedicated efforts.

This visit reinforced the Indian Army’s steadfast commitment to the welfare, dignity, and empowerment of its veteran community, highlighting the Army’s promise to support those who have nobly served the nation.
