Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM, who serves as the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Southern Command, made a visit to the EME School in Vadodara. The purpose of his visit was to assess training standards, infrastructure, and key transformation initiatives that are crucial for bolstering the technical and operational readiness of the Indian Army.

During his tour, Lt Gen Seth received a briefing on significant initiatives that align with the Indian Army's Decade of Transformation. The briefing emphasized the EME School’s ongoing commitment to innovation, the indigenization of niche technologies, and excellence in technical education. These elements are considered essential in maintaining high levels of operational preparedness across various formations.

The General reviewed the training infrastructure and was informed about modern training methodologies along with current specialist courses in Armament, Optoelectronics, and New Generation Vehicles & Equipment. These programs are structured to equip officers and soldiers with advanced technical skills necessary for supporting modern, technology-intensive military platforms.

The Army Commander expressed appreciation for the institution’s role in producing technically proficient personnel and integrating emerging technologies into its training curricula. He emphasized the importance of continuous upskilling, adaptive learning, and the pursuit of indigenous solutions to address evolving battlefield requirements.
