In a significant showcase of innovation and self-sufficiency under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Southern Command, assessed advanced battlefield technologies and homegrown innovations presented by the Battle Axe Division and Konark Corps during Exercise Akhand Prahar.

This large-scale field exercise, part of the ongoing Tri-Services Exercise Trishul, underscores the Indian Army's growing focus on incorporating indigenous solutions into its operational strategies and tactical applications.

During his visit, Lt Gen Seth witnessed the deployment of domestically developed drones, counter-drone systems, and force protection technologies. These systems, crafted by local innovation cells and defense startups collaborating with field formations, are designed to improve situational awareness, tactical mobility, and troop protection in technologically advanced battlefields.

The Army Commander praised the Battle Axe Division for its innovative approach, highlighting the effective collaboration between field units and defense innovators. He commended the troops for their operational readiness, adaptability, and dedication to achieving self-reliance in essential warfighting technologies.

Exercise Akhand Prahar is part of the Army's broader strategy to validate multi-domain warfare concepts and test the operational integration of indigenously developed systems in realistic battlefield conditions.

Lt Gen Seth’s review confirmed Southern Command’s leading role in championing Atmanirbharta, innovation, and combat readiness, further supporting India’s move towards a technologically advanced and self-sufficient military force.
