Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth Assesses Joint Operational Capabilities at Exercise Akhand Prahar
Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, conducted a review of the Konark Corps' operational readiness during Exercise Akhand Prahar, a significant field training exercise in the desert landscape.
The Army Commander observed Combined Arms manoeuvres that highlighted the seamless interaction between the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force. This exercise demonstrated a high degree of coordination across combat arms, support elements, and air resources, vital for modern, network-enabled warfare.

Lt Gen Seth witnessed the integration of advanced technologies, such as Drone and Counter-Drone systems, along with improved Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) to boost battlefield effectiveness. The exercise also emphasized the ability of field formations to adapt to multi-domain scenarios, ensuring readiness for a range of potential threats.

The Southern Command is leading efforts to enhance joint operational capabilities and foster innovation in tactics and technology. Exercise Akhand Prahar served as a crucial test of the Army's Defence Preparedness, interoperability, and rapid response through integrated land and air operations.

Lt Gen Seth praised the troops for their professionalism, accuracy, and combat readiness, acknowledging their commitment to the Indian Army’s core value of ‘Service Before Self’.
The exercise reinforced the Indian Army’s emphasis on operational synergy, technological integration, and mission readiness across a multi-domain environment, highlighting India’s capability to effectively address emerging security challenges.
