Lt Gen Devendra Sharma Reviews Military Training Advancements at RVC Centre Meerut
Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma, PVSM, AVSM, SM, who serves as the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Army Training Command (ARTRAC), recently toured the Remount Veterinary Corps Centre & College (RVCC&C) in Meerut. The purpose of his visit was to evaluate the ongoing training programs and infrastructure improvements.
As part of his visit, the Army Commander examined the modern facilities designated for Military Working Dogs (MWDs), equestrian training, and veterinary education. He received a comprehensive briefing on the latest developments in canine handling, equine management, and veterinary science training, which are integral to the operational preparedness of the Indian Army.
Lt Gen Sharma expressed his admiration for the contemporary infrastructure, the scientific training methodologies employed, and the high motivation displayed by the instructional staff at the Centre. He praised the institution for its essential role in preparing MWDs and equestrian assets, which are vital in supporting field formations across varied operational environments.
Furthermore, the General Officer engaged with trainees from Friendly Foreign Countries, emphasizing the importance of international collaboration and India's leadership in military veterinary and animal training domains.
