Lt Gen Devendra Sharma Inaugurates NFS Advanced Training Centre at MCTE Mhow
On February 27, 2026, Lt Gen Devendra Sharma, PVSM, AVSM, SM, who serves as the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief at the Army Training Command (ARTRAC), paid a visit to the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE) located in Mhow.

During his visit, the Army Commander officially opened the NFS Advance Training Centre. This facility is a unique tri-services centre spread across India intended to enhance training related to Network for Spectrum (NFS) operations. The event included demonstrations by student officers showcasing the integration of legacy communication systems with NFS, thereby emphasizing improved connectivity and operational cooperation.

Lt Gen Sharma further explored various advanced facilities including the Drone Training Node, Electronic Warfare (EW) labs, and Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS). During these visits, he received briefings on the specialized training young officers undergo to equip themselves for technologically advanced battlefields.

The Army Commander expressed his appreciation for MCTE's innovative approach, praising the institution’s significant contribution to developing future-ready tech-warriors. He acknowledged its essential role in the Indian Army's shift towards network-centric and technology-driven operations.
