Lt Gen Devendra Sharma Evaluates Operational Readiness at Vadodara Air Force Station

Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Army Training Command, paid a visit to the Air Force Station in Vadodara to assess the operational elements and preparedness of the facility.

During his visit, Lt Gen Sharma received a detailed briefing on the operational readiness and capabilities of the Indian Air Force station. He engaged in discussions with the officers, focusing on current military challenges and the dynamics of joint operations, emphasizing the crucial role of coordination between services.

Lt Gen Sharma also toured the Tata Advanced Systems Limited facility, which includes the Final Assembly Line for the Airbus C-295 aircraft in India. This facility marks a significant advancement in India's efforts towards indigenisation and defense manufacturing, in line with the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

The visit highlights the increasing focus on fostering joint operations between the Army and the Air Force, alongside the integration of indigenous defense production capabilities to enhance operational readiness.

Through Lt Gen Sharma’s visit, the Indian Armed Forces continue to underscore their commitment to modernization, collaboration, and technological progress to address evolving security challenges.
