Lt Gen CG Muralidharan Assesses Medical Preparedness at Gangtok Military Hospital

On May 17, 2026, Lieutenant General CG Muralidharan, who serves as both the Director General Medical Services (Army) and the Colonel Commandant of the Army Medical Corps (AMC), visited Military Hospital Gangtok. The purpose of his visit was to assess the healthcare infrastructure and the operational medical readiness in the strategically crucial East Sikkim region.

During his inspection, the General Officer evaluated the advancements of a new hospital project, which is being developed to enhance medical facilities and provide better healthcare support to troops and beneficiaries in the area.

Lt Gen Muralidharan also reviewed the hospital's operational preparedness, logistics support, and overall healthcare delivery systems, which are being maintained under challenging terrain and operational conditions.

The DGMS Army praised the unit for its professional dedication, compassionate patient care, and unwavering commitment to providing effective combat medical support.
