Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta Evaluates Operational Readiness Along India's LAC in Kumaon Sector
Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta, the commanding officer of the Central Command, conducted an inspection of the forward areas in the Kumaon Sector to evaluate the operational readiness of troops stationed along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) within the challenging high-altitude Himalayan landscape.

During his visit, the Army Commander examined the preparedness of various formations and units responsible for protecting the nation's borders amid harsh weather conditions and difficult terrain. He received briefings on operational stance, surveillance strategies, logistical arrangements, and the sustenance of forces in these forward areas.

Lt Gen Sengupta praised the troops for their steadfast alertness, resilience, and professionalism, recognizing their vital contribution to maintaining peace and security along the LAC. While interacting with soldiers at the forward posts, he lauded their high morale, discipline, and readiness for combat, even in the challenging environment.
