Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta Assesses Operational Preparedness and Engages with Border Communities in Garhwal Sector
Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Central Command, recently visited forward areas in the Garhwal sector to evaluate the operational readiness of formations stationed in the high-altitude regions.

During his visit, the Army Commander engaged with the troops, praising their dedication to maintaining a robust and reliable border stance despite the harsh terrain. He also acknowledged the formation's efforts in adopting green energy and sustainable practices, emphasizing their importance for sustaining operations in extreme altitudes over the long term.

Lt Gen Sengupta extended his visit to the border village of Jadang, where he interacted with residents in Dharali and Harsil. He assessed the progress of rehabilitation efforts and assured local communities of ongoing support aimed at improving infrastructure and enhancing living conditions.

The visit highlighted the Army's commitment to maintaining both operational preparedness and community engagement in critical border areas.
