Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta Assesses Operational and Welfare Initiatives at HQ PUP & MP Sub Area

On March 2, 2026, Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Central Command, visited the Headquarters of PUP & MP Sub Area in Prayagraj. The purpose of the visit was to assess operational and welfare initiatives.

During his visit, the Army Commander received comprehensive briefings on various aspects, including the steps taken to ensure operational readiness, outreach programs for veterans, welfare initiatives, and the infrastructure development projects planned for the Sub Area.

Lt Gen Sengupta commended the efforts of the formation and highlighted the necessity of maintaining commitment to adopting new technologies in infrastructure development. He also stressed the importance of focused welfare measures for serving personnel, veterans, and their families.

In addition to his activities, he inspected the newly established Intensive Care Unit Complex at the Military Hospital Prayagraj, reviewing the advanced medical facilities designed to enhance critical care services. Impressed by the modern infrastructure and improved medical capabilities, the Army Commander reaffirmed the Indian Army's commitment to delivering quality healthcare to serving personnel, veterans, and their dependents.
