Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar Evaluates Readiness in Arunachal Pradesh Prior to 'Poorvi Prachand Prahar' Exercise
Lieutenant General Abhijit S Pendharkar, the General Officer Commanding of Spear Corps, conducted a visit to the forward regions of Arunachal Pradesh to assess the operational readiness and combat capabilities of units stationed along the sensitive border area.
The primary focus of his visit was the evaluation of preparations for the forthcoming Tri-Service Exercise ‘Poorvi Prachand Prahar’. This exercise aims to showcase the collaborative capabilities of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force in executing coordinated operations across multiple domains. It highlights India’s dedication to boosting joint operational efficiency and strategic responsiveness in the Eastern Sector.

During his visit, Lt Gen Pendharkar received briefings on various aspects, including the integration of ground and aerial resources, real-time surveillance systems, logistics coordination, and command connectivity. These components are essential in modern multi-domain warfare. He praised the troops for their readiness, discipline, and ability to adapt in the challenging high-altitude and harsh weather conditions.
In his interactions with the troops, the General Officer Commanding commended their professionalism and vigilance in protecting the nation’s borders. He reiterated the Spear Corps’ commitment to joint operational efforts, innovation, and mission-focused training to maintain top standards of operational readiness.
