Lt Col Isha Thakral Appointed Vice Principal of Sainik School Chittorgarh

Lieutenant Colonel Isha Thakral has taken on her new role as the Vice Principal of Sainik School Chittorgarh, marking the beginning of a fresh phase of academic and administrative leadership at one of India's leading military preparatory schools.

She was greeted by Colonel Anil Dev Singh Jasrotia, the Principal of Sainik School Chittorgarh, who briefed her on the institution's operations, administrative framework, accomplishments, and esteemed traditions.

School officials have highlighted that Lt Col Thakral is a distinguished officer of the Army Educational Corps (AEC), bringing significant expertise in education, military leadership, administration, and public relations.

As a second-generation Army officer, Lt Col Thakral was commissioned into the Indian Army on September 16, 2006, after completing her training at the esteemed Officers Training Academy in Chennai.

In terms of academics, she holds a Master's degree in English Literature from the University of Jammu.

Throughout her notable military career, Lt Col Thakral has held several important positions. From 2008 to 2011, she served as the Public Relations Officer at the Indian Military Academy in Dehradun, where she was instrumental in managing institutional communications, media relations, and outreach initiatives while contributing to the training environment for Gentleman Cadets.

She brings a broad range of experience in educational administration, military training, and leadership development, equipping her well for her new responsibilities at the Sainik School.

Upon taking office, Lt Col Thakral shared her vision for the institution, reaffirming her dedication to enhancing the school's robust academic and military traditions. She stressed the importance of comprehensive cadet development and committed to advancing Sainik School Chittorgarh's reputation as a premier military educational institution in the nation.
