Exhibiting remarkable bravery and compassion, Lieutenant Shrang Singh of the Dot On Target Division of the Indian Army heroically saved a civilian from a life-threatening road accident on September 19, 2025, near Mundhal in Rohtak, Haryana.

During a routine patrol in the area, Lt. Shrang Singh encountered an overturned car on the roadside in the dead of night. Acting without delay, he swiftly approached the accident site, assessed the situation, and focused on ensuring the safety of those trapped inside the vehicle.

The occupant of the car was identified as the wife of a retired Havildar from the 7 JAT Regiment. Despite the inherent dangers, Lt. Shrang Singh bravely entered the unstable car and carefully rescued the injured woman, taking care to keep her calm and unharmed throughout the rescue.

Beyond the immediate rescue, Lt. Shrang Singh retrieved her personal belongings from the damaged vehicle and ensured their safe return. He remained at the scene until she was reunited with her family, exemplifying the Army’s core value of "Service Before Self."
