Lieutenant General Ajay Kumar Takes Charge as Chief of Staff, Southern Command
Lieutenant General Ajay Kumar, who holds the military honors AVSM and VSM, has taken on the role of Chief of Staff at Southern Command, a pivotal position within one of the Indian Army's main operational divisions.

Upon assuming his new role, Lt Gen Ajay Kumar visited the Southern Command War Memorial in Pune, where he laid a wreath to honor the Bravehearts. These soldiers are remembered for their courage, valor, and ultimate sacrifice, which continue to inspire future generations within the army.

The ceremony served as a reminder of the Indian Army's longstanding dedication to commemorating its fallen soldiers, underscoring its values of duty, honor, and selfless service.

In his capacity as Chief of Staff, Lt Gen Ajay Kumar will be instrumental in managing the operational, administrative, and strategic tasks of the Southern Command. His leadership is expected to fortify the Command's operational readiness and its ongoing mission to ensure national security.
