Bareilly, July 23, 2026: The Junior Leaders Academy (JLA) in Bareilly recently wrapped up its Leadership & Management Course, concluding on July 22, 2026. This program, spanning six weeks, was designed to enhance the leadership skills of junior military leaders from various security forces.

The course included participants from the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, Assam Rifles, and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), highlighting the importance of joint training and cooperation across services. During the program, attendees received rigorous training focused on developing leadership competencies critical for modern military operations.

The curriculum was structured to improve decision-making abilities, leadership skills, resilience, professional ethics, and technological awareness. It prepared the participants to lead troops effectively in current and future battle scenarios, with a special focus on adapting to the rapidly changing nature of warfare that now emphasizes technology integration, joint operations, and agility.

Brigadier Gaurav Kapoor, Commandant of the Junior Leaders Academy, addressed the participants at the valedictory ceremony. He emphasized the crucial role of Junior Leaders as fundamental to military formations, noting that their leadership and professionalism are key to operational success. He urged participants to carry on the esteemed traditions of the Armed Forces while embracing innovation and lifelong learning.

In the ceremony, Brigadier Kapoor honored outstanding participants with awards for their exceptional performance during the course. Havildar Maninder Singh of the Sikh Regiment was named the Best Student, recognized for his leadership qualities, professional competence, and consistent excellence throughout the training.

The completion of the Leadership & Management Course highlights the Junior Leaders Academy's dedication to nurturing capable, resilient, and technologically adept military leaders ready to face the complexities of modern operational environments. By uniting personnel from the Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces, the program also bolstered interoperability, promoted professional exchange, and reinforced the spirit of jointness among India's security forces.
