Kharga Shakti 2026: Indian Army Exercises Combat Readiness and High-tech Operations

Exercise Kharga Shakti 2026 has concluded, marking the end of an intensive training period that thoroughly assessed the combat readiness of the Kharga Corps under various modern battlefield conditions.

The exercise showcased a flawless integration of various military capabilities, including high mobility maneuvers, precise firepower, and intelligence operations facilitated by Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). Additional focus was placed on counter-UAS tactics, layered air defense systems, and joint air–land operations, all conducted in collaboration with the Indian Air Force. The training effectively demonstrated the Corps' ability to shift rapidly from deterrence to decisive combat operations.

During the event's conclusion, Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar, Army Commander of the Western Command, praised the involved formations for their professionalism and the effective integration of technology into their operations. He stressed that the exercise exemplified the Western Command's preparedness to address evolving security threats and achieve assured victory.
