Israeli Air Force Targets Iranian Radar in Tehran Amid Ceasefire Tensions

The Israeli Air Force conducted a targeted military strike on an Iranian radar installation in northern Tehran, according to sources within regional defense circles. The attack, executed late on Tuesday, was described as a measured action focused on a symbolic location rather than a critical military site, reflecting a moderate approach amid ongoing ceasefire discussions.

In Babolsar, a northern coastal city in Iran, residents reported hearing at least two loud explosions following the targeting of the radar. Although Iranian officials have yet to release an official statement, local media have confirmed aerial movements and impacts in the area.

The strike occurred shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump publicly stated, “ISRAEL is not going to attack Iran. All planes will turn around and head home, while doing friendly ‘Plane Wave’ to Iran. Nobody will be hurt, the Ceasefire is in effect!” This timing has sparked questions regarding the level of coordination between Washington and Tel Aviv, and whether the ceasefire agreement facilitated by the U.S. has been compromised.
