Inspector General Yoginder Dhaka Takes Command of Coast Guard Region (East)
On February 6, 2026, Inspector General Yoginder Dhaka, TM, officially took over as the head of the Coast Guard Region (East) from Inspector General Datwinder Singh Saini, PTM, TM. The ceremonial change of command parade was held at the Indian Coast Guard Air Station in Chennai.
This parade, executed with precision and military tradition, symbolized the official transition of leadership for the Eastern Seaboard of the Indian Coast Guard. The event was attended by senior officers and personnel, highlighting the importance of this leadership change.

Inspector General Yoginder Dhaka, a graduate of both the Naval Academy and the Naval War College, brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
