INS Shivaji Officers Visit MCEME Secunderabad to Enhance Technical Collaboration
A delegation comprising 14 officers from the INS, Shivaji, conducted a visit to the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME) in Secunderabad on September 26–27, 2025. This visit, part of the Annual Training Visit Calendar, was aimed at bolstering inter-service cooperation and providing naval officers with insights into the Indian Army’s technical training programs.
Throughout their visit, the delegation received an extensive briefing on MCEME’s significant role in imparting advanced technical education to officers, Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), and technicians of the Corps of EME.

The officers were informed about the state-of-the-art training methods, advanced laboratories, and simulation-based learning systems that are integral to equipping personnel with the skills needed to sustain and maintain modern defense technologies.

Additionally, the officers examined MCEME’s ongoing efforts in indigenization and its modern infrastructure, which supports the innovation and maintenance of weapon systems, aviation platforms, electronic warfare assets, and next-generation communication technologies, all essential for maintaining operational readiness and battlefield superiority.

The visit highlighted the collaborative spirit and integration between the Indian Army and Indian Navy, fostering cross-service learning and strengthening institutional relationships.

Such interactions are crucial in developing a unified approach to tackling the complex technological and operational challenges of future warfare, thereby enhancing India’s readiness for multidomain operations.
