INS Angre Hosts Blood Donation Camp in Mumbai Ahead of 75th Anniversary, 50+ Personnel Donate Blood

INS Angre organised a blood donation camp at INHS Asvini in Mumbai as part of the build-up to its 75th anniversary, with more than 50 naval personnel volunteering to donate blood.

The initiative was aimed at supporting patients who require blood transfusions and at strengthening blood reserves for medical emergencies and critical treatments. By encouraging voluntary donation, the camp sought to help ensure that blood is available when it is needed most in hospitals and treatment facilities.

The drive also reflected the Indian Navy’s emphasis on community service and social responsibility, extending the role of naval personnel beyond their professional duties. The participation of sailors in such a camp highlighted a collective effort to contribute to saving lives and serving society.

The blood donation camp was one of the activities being conducted ahead of the 75th anniversary of INS Angre, the Indian Navy’s shore establishment in Mumbai.
