Indian Navy Honors International Graduates and Recognizes QNI Achievements at Ceremony

The Naval Air Operations School under the Southern Naval Command of the Indian Navy hosted the Graduation Ceremony for the 18th Foreign Air Operations Course and the Torch Ceremony for the 20th Qualified Naval Instructor (QNI) Course.

Three officers from Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and Bangladesh successfully completed the specialised course, earning their qualifications as Air Operations Officers.

This programme is a reflection of the Indian Navy's commitment to enhancing military cooperation and building capacity with partner nations, focusing on advanced training and the exchange of knowledge.

The officers received extensive training in naval air operations, gaining the skills necessary to effectively plan, coordinate, and manage aviation tasks in maritime contexts.

Additionally, during the event, two Indian Navy officers were honoured with the Qualified Naval Instructor Torch after completing the 20th QNI Course.

The QNI qualification is a notable accolade within the Indian Navy, acknowledging officers who exhibit outstanding instructional abilities and professional excellence essential for training future naval personnel.

The ceremony highlighted the Indian Navy's dedication to promoting excellence in military education and strengthening defence relationships with allied nations through these specialised training initiatives.

By training officers from partner countries and cultivating skilled instructors within its ranks, the Indian Navy continues to advance regional maritime cooperation, interoperability, and the sharing of professional expertise throughout the Indo-Pacific region.
