Indian Naval Academy Confers B.Tech Degrees to 84 Midshipmen in Convocation Ceremony
The Indian Naval Academy (INA) recently celebrated a significant event with a Convocation Ceremony, marking the successful completion of four years of intensive training for 84 Midshipmen, who were awarded B.Tech degrees.
Dr N Kalaiselvi, the Secretary of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) and Director General of CSIR, presented the degrees at the ceremony.

The cohort of graduates included four international trainees from allied nations and three women, showcasing the academy's commitment to diversity and international collaboration in its training programs.
During her address, Dr Kalaiselvi congratulated the graduates on their accomplishments and acknowledged the support provided by their parents and instructors, which was instrumental in guiding them as future leaders of the military.

She emphasized the impact of emerging technologies on modern warfare and underscored the necessity of ongoing innovation, the adoption of new technologies, and leadership to maintain maritime security for India's growing ambitions.
The Chief Guest expressed her trust in the new officers' capacity to meet future technological demands and to significantly enhance India's maritime strength.

According to officials, the ceremony highlighted the Indian Navy's dedication to fostering academic achievement, technological progress, leadership skills, and readiness for operations in training the upcoming cadre of naval officers.
